If you read this post you know that nap time has been a challenge lately, to say the least. BUT...we've had breakthrough.
Copelynn didn't change.
The battle still existed.
BUT
Zach and I got crafty and creative and adapted to the little nap monster.
The poor girl still needs a nap.
But I don't have time or energy for an hour+ fight everyday.
Her madness was driving me mad and seriously damaging our relationship.
After trying all the different things: earlier nap, later nap, nap on an airbed on the floor instead of her crib, "quiet time" instead of nap...we ended up here.
Not the solution I pictured, but the priorities are being accomplished: she is getting a nap, I am getting alone time, and the battle is eliminated.
I turn a movie on for her at the time I'd usually take her to her room for a nap. I go do my own thing in another part of the house, and she falls asleep.
Beautiful. Hopefully this stays the plan. Kids have a funny way of switching it up on you just when you think you've got it.
