We are not planning on having kids for another 2 years or so, but I
have been thinking about babies a lot lately! Not in a baby bug “I’m going to
go get it on tonight with no birth control” kind of way, but in a “wow, there’s
a lot to think about and make decisions about” kind of way! Holy Moly, I mean
the list goes on and on and on. Vitamins to take before pregnancy, foods to
avoid during pregnancy, foods to eat during pregnancy that I don’t eat now, chiropractor
visits to make birth easier, home birth or hospital birth, a whole new wardrobe
for a belly to fit into, baby room colors, baby room furniture, do I quit my job
or work a part time job, then what about daycare, do I want daycare?
The clothes part really concerns me to be honest, lol. I don’t consider
myself materialistic, but I feel like we should start a mommy clothes fund to
coincide with the baby fund. I mean, I’m not gunna be lookin all frumpy, I’m
gunna be cute! That just seems like a lot of clothes to buy! Moms, is it? Any
awesome stores to keep in mind down the road? I like to plan :)
I do look forward to the season coming when we will have babies.
It’ll be so sweet and so exciting. I really can’t wait to have a little tiny
baby Zach running around—it’ll be the cutest thing ever. But, at the same exact
time, I really CAN wait awhile.
1. I am definitely not ready to share my body with someone else. I’m
not ready to be that selfless and say bye bye to my abs and size of jeans for a little while. That
day will come though, and I will love every minute of it when it comes.

2. Once we start, there’s no stopping, we’ll just keep poppin them
out. I’m 22, I’m not ready for 3 or 4 kids.
4. Money. It’s not everything in this life, but it is a big factor
and I don’t want to be stressin over money. And I’d love to be able to stay
home.
5. I love the Zach and I time that we live with right now. I love it
being just us for now. I want to do more together and experience more things
and places and seasons of life together before we add someone to our family. I
get a little protective over these things sometimes J, but hey, that’s why we’re married,
cause we adore spending time with each other.
6. It’s one of my biggest hearts desires to be by family (mommy!)
when we start having kids. Not just for support during and after, but my heart
yearns for my kids to be close to their grandparents and aunts/uncles, ect. My
cousins were some of my best friends growing up—I covet that experience for my
kids. I’d be so dismayed to take that from them.
So, there it is, all of my thoughts about babies for now. Hope you enjoyed a peak inside my brain!
These verses seem fitting:
Ecclesistes 3:1-8
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.”
A time to have babies and time to not have babies :)
Speaking of babies, you should listen to this awesome song. Current favorite.
