I sat down to write and thanks to the toys and clothes and play-doh all over my house I was immediately inspired :)

I'm in the business of being REAL. Especially since having kids.  There's a quote I heard from Steve Furtick that I remind myself of often. He said "Don't compare your behind-the-scenes to someone else's highlight reel."

So good, right!? It's never been easier to do that than now with all of our social media outlets. We see snapshots of clean houses and perfectly groomed kids and moms in perfect shape with curled hair and manicured nails and think "what am I missing!?" When really, they just are really good at looking like they've got it all together, but they're just like you and their house/kids are chaotic, too. 

I just don't have time or energy to act like I have a tidy house all of the time or empty sink or put away/folded laundry. Can I get an amen? That is life! A beautiful mess! 

Wouldn't it be more fun in the mom-world if we didn't put our polished faces or houses or kids on social media all the time and we were a little more...real? I vote for that. Like an I'll show you my crumb filled floor if you show me yours movement. 

Let's do that more often. Let's start freeing each other up by being real.
