One of my coworkers recommended this book to me, so I grabbed it the night we left for Ohio to read on the plane a couple of weeks ago. I could not put this thing down. It was an incredible story. It inspired me and challenged me to really think about what I believe about heaven, babies that are miscarried/aborted, kids, and the Holy Spirit and His power.
As a Christian I believe in heaven, but I’ve never spent any
large amount of time thinking about what it will actually be like. The way
Colton described his visit to heaven made heaven so much more real to me. It turned my perspective from “some distant place
that I believe I’ll go to when I die” to “what will it really be like.” Will I meet my mom’s dad that passed away before I
was born? Will people be in their prime or the age they were when they died? What
does the throne of God look like? Will we have wings?
If you’ve ever had a miscarriage you should read this book. Zach
and I have not had kids yet, so I have not experienced this. but, this book addresses
this topic in a crazy way. It brought a comfort to me that I’ll draw from if I do
ever have a miscarriage.
Some people may believe that this little boy’s story is
really true. Other’s may not. I believe that God has supernatural power that is
beyond our human logic and reasoning. He can do things we cannot understand
because he’s God. He doesn’t live in the confines of our world. If you read
this book with that kind of an open mind, I think you’ll be blessed, encouraged,
and challenged.
