The Cross Was Enough

I've been blasting this song lately in the car and singing shouting it at the top of my lungs.

The whole Passion 2012 CD is fantasic.

Colossians1:21-22 Once you were allienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior, but now He has reconciled you by Christ's physical body through death to present you holy in his site, without blemish and free from accusation.

That deserves some exclamation marks!!!! Too bad God didn't write exclamation marks into the bible, right?

Christ died for yours and my salvation and freedom.  He died to set us free from all accusations and sin and mistakes and short comings.  We are BLAMELESS in his sight.  He died so we could live a life that is not under the control of guilt or sin or lies that tell us we'll never be good enough, or we're too much or not enough (women's worst ferar, right?).

Without Jesus, we do come up short. Without Jesus, we are filthy sinners, guilty as charged.  And without Jesus, we have absolutely nothing to say when the devil comes and points his finger in our face with accusations.

But WITH Christ, we have been justified and given new life.  With Christ, we have freedom from sin. With Christ, we have all authority to snatch that devil's finger out of our face and stand on the truth of the Word that we're forgiven and redeemed. Christ conquered it all for us. The cross was enough.

I am so thankful that I am redeemed and free!  It is so hard to comprehend and grasp and LIVE because what I should be accused of is true. It's not like I'm perfect and innocent and deserve this grace and mercy.  But Christ paid the price and therefore we can live in victory and freedom from sin. While we were still sinner and enemies of him, he tokk our place on the Cross.

Thank you Jesus for loving me enough to pay the price on the cross and taking my place.  Help us live in all the freedem and authority you paid for. The cross was enough!
