An Open Door

You all have heard my speak of my life journal before. Haven't you?

Well, if you haven't.....it's a reading plan that you can find here. And if you follow it, you'll end up reading your whole Bible in a year! I don't do it because I want to read my Bible in a year, I do it because reading the word is communion with my Savior. The word is how He speaks to us, and how we find out who He is and who we really are. Its where we find out how He wants us to live as followers of Christ.

SO, I was reading the other day:

Revelation 3: 8 Behold I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.

God opens and closes doors in our lives all the time. He gives and he takes away.

Some new doors are beginning to open for Zach and I.  I feel like we're peering around the corner and seeing new doors opened that we've never seen opened before. Seeing the beginning of a cracked door just around the bend is exciting but scary! "Is that really for us? Will that really stay open?" Fear and uncertainty and hesitation creep in.

And then I read "I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut" and I am encouraged and get a glimpse of our bright future. My fear and hesitation still ride in the back of my mind sometimes, but the Truth quiets those things.

So as long as he keeps these doors open, we will walk through them confidently, knowing that no human being or power from hell can shut the doors that our God is opening for us.

So excited and expectant for what God has for us as a couple, a family, and individuals. I'll keep ya in the loop as things come to pass!
